CHILD SAFETY SEAT CLASSES
SAFE KIDS Car Seat Classes are held at the Yuma County Public Health Services District auditorium
and are conducted by a NHTSA Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Classes are held every-other Friday in alternating
English/Spanish languages. See schedule below.
English Language Class starts at 9:00 A.M.
Spanish Language Class Starts at 11:00 A.M

The classes are approximately 2 hours long (including the installation of the seat in your
vehicle. The Classes are FREE!
You are encouraged to:
- Bring the vehicle you will be using
- Bring the child so we can show you where to place the harness straps, etc.
- Bring other family members as well, since this is lifesaving information you will be receiving, the
more people that receive it the better.
- Bring your car seat (if you have one).
NOTE! If you are on AHCCCS, Food Stamps AND WIC
you may qualify for a free car seat. If you are on at least one of these programs you may still purchase a car seat
at a discounted rate.. Call for details.

2012 Bike Rodeo Event
When: April 21st, Saturday
Where: Yuma Civic Center
Parking Lot
Time: Registration 8:00-9:00AM
Bicycle
Rodeo 9:30-11:30AM
- To pre-register call teh Parks and Recreation Department at 373-5243.
- Pre-registration ends on March 29th.
- Only pre-registered participants will receive a free helmet.
- Event limited to 100 particiapnts.
- Free Event for ages 3-12.
- Participants will receive a free bike inspection, helmet fitting, and automitaically be entered into the bike raffle.
- Bicycles only (training wheels ok)
